Price increase on .com, .biz, .club & .design domain names starting September 1, 2022 UTC

Verisign, the registry for .com, has notified Paknic of a price increase on the registration/renewal/transfer of .com domain names starting August 31, 2022 at 9:00 PM Pacific (September 1, 2022 at 4:00 UTC).

Similarly, domain registry for .biz, .club & .design has also notified Paknic of a price increase of below TLDs on the registration/renewal/transfer starting August 31, 2022 at 5:00 PM Pacific (September 1, 2022 at 00:00 UTC).

As a result, Paknic has no option other than to increase domain prices effective September 1, 2022 for these specified TLDs for for registration/renewal/transfer listed as below:

.COM domain year increase by USD $1.00
.BIZ domain year increase by USD $1.50
.CLUB domain year increase by USD $2.00
.DESIGN domain year increase by USD $4.00

Please check the domain pricing table for the revised prices of these TLDs.

Registry Neustar is increasing price of .BIZ domains starting November 1, 2019

Effective November 1, 2019, registry Neustar will be increasing the price of its .BIZ domains by USD $1.15 per domain year. This increase applies to .BIZ domains for new registration, renewal and transfer. As a result, Paknic will be increasing .BIZ prices for some of the pricing groups and tiers starting November 1, 2019 as listed below:

Registry Neustar Increasing .BIZ Prices

Effective November 12, 2018, registry Neustar will be increasing the price of its .BIZ domains by $1.04 per domain year. This increase applies to .BIZ domains for new registration, renewal and transfer. As a result, Paknic will be increasing .BIZ prices for all pricing groups and tiers starting November 12, 2018.

Paknic suspends several domain names involved in illegal activities of selling drugs online without prescriptions (Rogue Pharmacies)

Recently, Paknic Private Limited worked closely with USA based law enforcement agency (Orange County Sheriff's Office, Narcotics Task Force in California, USA) to crack down several domain names involved in illegal activities of selling drugs online to innocent people risking their life without proper documents and prescription. These domain names were suspended/deleted and some those names involve:

We would like to take this opportunity warning public in general to take all possible safety measures before deciding to buy any drugs online without proper prescription. Such online rogue pharmacies operate outside USA, Canada and Europe with option to ship the drugs to these countries. There is no guarantee that you will get the merchandise you purchased causing financial loss and victim of online fraud. In a case if you are lucky to receive the shipment, chances are those drugs are either fake or of inferior quality risking your life. Paknic strongly recommend to stay away from such online Rogue Pharmacies.

Revised Domain Name Transfer Process Post GDPR

With effect from GDPR deadline which is May 25, 2018, Paknic has made necessary changes in our registrar system specifically related to privacy and inter-registrar domain name transfers. We have already announced the changes in our Privacy and Cookies Policies which you can find here and now we are announcing the specific changes made to the Domain Transfer process as listed below.

In accordance with ICANN’s Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data, we are making the following changes in order to ensure seamless progression of domain name transfers.

Inbound Domain Transfers to Paknic:

Form of Authorization (FOA) will not be required and sent on behalf of the gaining Registrar;
The transfer request will be immediately made to the registry once the customer successfully places the order with Paknic and submits domain authorization code;
There will be no Change of Registrant process required for inbound transfers; and
This revised workflow will be in effect starting May 25, 2018.

Outbound Domain Transfers:

If the gaining Registrar follows ICANN's Temporary Specification for gTLD Registration Data, we do not expect any impact on outbound transfers;
The FOA on behalf of the Registrar on Record will continue to be sent as usual, and the transfer will be auto-approved unless declined by the Registrant within 5 days;
If the gaining Registrar requires to send an FOA to the Registrant contact which has our GDPR protection feature enabled, the customer can disable this feature with proper authorization from the Registrant. This feature was implemented under your Paknic Account Profile named as "GDPR Settings";
In case the Registry Operator of the domain name has blocked displaying domain registrant contact info in WHOIS record, the gaining Registrar must be advised to follow the ICANN's Temporary Specification. We recommend contacting the gaining Registrar to resolve such issue.

If and where needed, our staff may intervene manually to make sure that this transfer process is in effect. For any questions or concerns about this revised transfer process, please contact us either via email or by raising a support ticket.
